Yummy Quick Cookies

Hi my lovely's, here is a super quick and easy recipe for cookies

Ingredients

110g butter
55g sugar
135g flour
I used quality streets on my cookies but you can use chocolate chips, nuts or any thing you fancy

Pre heat oven to 170'c

Line a tray with parchment paper

In a large mixing bowl add the butter and sugar mix until light and fluffy

Sieve in the flour a little at a time

When it's all combined cut into 6

Place the dough on the tray (you don't need to grease it)

Press with the back of a spoon (or your finger)

Decorate with something yummy :)
Quality Street

Cook for 8-10 mins

They will still be very soft to touch but as they cool they will firm up

Perfect Weekend

Yay I have got some followers :) thank you guys I will follow back to everyone.
Sorry if this is a long post I have had a lovely weekend with the husband.

Friday
On Friday night we decided to go buy some new DVD's / Blu-rays! We got R.I.P.D and Star Trek into darkness.

R.I.P.D Blu-rayStar Trek into darkness

We have seen both these in the cinema and enjoyed them so thought we would add them to our collection. It took us over 30 minuets to decided on what we were getting as we both wanted a few different ones and couldn't pick just one so got one each :) When we got home, we started making homemade pizza for tea which took a lot longer than I thought so by the time we sat down I was too tired to watch the films as it was nearly 10pm so we just curled up and watched tv. It was a really nice chilled evening.

Saturday
On Saturday I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! They were amazing I was so proud of them hehe

chocolate chip pancakes

We thought about what we wanted to do today and after a stressful week we decided on a lazy weekend we grabbed our new films and our old favourite back to the future trilogy. I could seriously watch these everyday! We tend to watch them once every other month and we have to watch all 3 in one go!
R.I.P.D Star Trek into darkness Back to the future

The day started with a classic :) Back to the future with my amazing home made pancakes
R.I.P.D with m&ms and crunchy rocks
Back to the future 2
Star Trek with home made Chinese :) lemon chicken for me sweet and sour for hubby
Then back to the future 3 with home made cookies and the end of m&ms :)

It was such a nice way to spend the day together doing nothing but relaxing eating junk food

Sunday
On Sunday we got up quite late and started getting on with the weekly chores of laundry and a quick tidy up from our pig out day. Most of the house was really tidy as we had a house viewing on the Friday (part of the stress of the week) so it was immaculate :) We had to make a quick trip to Tesco's. But it was a disaster! there was no fresh meat and half the freezers were empty! The fridges and freezers were broken :-/ so we could only get a few things including cleaning products (how boring), lunch for the week and bit and bobs to go with meals for when we could finally get some meat. When we got to the till it was £74!!!!! I have no idea how it cost so much! The rest of the day was spent watching tv with face masks while the hubby wrote lesson plans and reports.

Monday
On Monday I went window shopping with my little sister. I had a quick look in mac (ready to do a order, more on that when it arrives) nars and smash box. We stopped for a quick Costa and subway for lunch. I am obsessed with both of these place. I love hot chocolate and the hot chocolate with cream and marsh mallows in Costa is the best!
We stopped in Tesco on the way home and ended up spending another £40! All I bought was meat, a jar of Nando's lemon and herb marinade (btw this stuff is amazing!!) and some shampoo!
How is it so expensive! Anybody else notice this? When I first bought my house 4years ago we used to do a weeks shop for £50! and now £114 this week!

Anyway sorry for the long post hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the next weekend :) xXx

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

I was so excited to use the cleansing brush. I really wanted the clarisonic Mia2 after seeing so many great reviews and after my fav YouTuber (Jaclyn Hill) did a video about it. But I can't justify the price at the moment so I thought this was a great cheap alternative! At only £24.99 I think its a bargain. It takes 2 AA battery's which are included so no charger. It has one button, press once to switch on to the first speed setting, press again for a faster speed and third time to switch off. It has an oscillating head that you  I have used it for a week now and so far so good. I have been using it just in the evenings on the first setting for 20 seconds on forehead and nose and then 10 seconds on each cheek and my chin. It doesn't have a timer so I just roughly count in my head. I can really see and feel the difference in my skin. My skin feels smoother and I have less breakouts. When I first used it I found it to be quite rough and hurt my cheeks but after a few days I learnt to use it very lightly over my cheeks and it's been great! You apply cleanser to your skin, wet the brush head and away you go. Afterwards you just rinse your face and the brush and continue with your skin care routine.

No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser

No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser

The beautiful skin collections is designed for normal to oily skin and I am most definitely the latter. It is a soap free foaming cleanser, it has a easy to use pump dispenser.  It has No7’s multivitamin and mineral blend in it to hydrate and energise the skin it also contains zinc which help regulate the skin’s oil production that us oily skins really need! I really like this cleanser I have used it before but had forgot about it. You only need 2 pumps worth of product so it lasts a very long time. It smells really nice and fresh, it has which-hazel in and I think I can pick out that fragrance. Hears how I use it I dampen my face, apply 2 pumps worth of the foam using upwards and circular motions all over my face and neck then remove it with a face cloth and warm water. In the evening I will cleanse once with then then apply the foam on my face and use the cleansing brush.

No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream

This cream is super light, it is non-pore blocking and enriched with zinc to balance oil production and prevent breakouts. I have to admit I hate using creams and oils I hate how they feel on my skin. Being oily I don't like heavy creams but this is nice and light and absorbs really quickly! It smells just like the cleanser and I love that as I hate putting different smelling products on my skin. You only need a tiny bit as a little goes a long way. I haven't got much to say about this it's just a really nice day cream :)

Soap and Glory The Fab Pore

Soap and Glory The Fab Pore
Soap and Glory The Fab Pore

OMG this mask is fabulous! I am hooked I am using it twice a week I apply with a mask fan brush using a thin layer over my cheeks which can get quite dry and a thicker layer over my t-zone leaving on for 10-15 mins. It says to leave on for 5 mins for a quick refresher or 15 mins for a deeper clean and can be used 1-3 times a week. It contains
~Superfruit Yuzu a Japanese citrus fruit hailed as the next superfood because of its level of vitamin C
~ PORESHRINK™-R complex - beta-hydroxy acid (a blend of encapsulated salicylic and lactic acids) which fight spots by gently peeling away pore-clogging dead skin cells and reducing inflammation, plus fomes officinalis mushroom extracts to tighten pores, and kaolin microclay to soak up excess sebum secretion and smooth the skin’s surface
~ RICE MICROBEADS - scrubbing spheres that gently smooth, polish and exfoliate
It's perfect to use before a night out, I have found after using this my make up stays on so much better.

Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack

Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack

Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack

I'm not completely sold on this eye cream yet. I haven't really noticed much of a difference, although it has made my under eye skin smother to the touch and my concealer is staying on nicely. I have found it to have practically no smell! It feels really light but almost watery. Soap and Glory's website list the ingredients and their uses as
• BOTANICAL SOY & RICE PEPTIDES & YEAST PROTEINS - proven to reduce dark circles and undereye puff/inflammation, and boost elasticity, microcirculation and collagen production
• OXYGINSENG™ TECHNOLOGY - an amazingly effective, organic, detoxifying ginseng-plus-caffeine complex that helps increase circulation and cell respiration (which then turns up blood supply and toxin removal), and also speeds oxygen and nutrient delivery to fight aging and re-energise skin
• PATENTED BIONYMPH PLANT PEPTIDES - to boost collagen production • PLUS-CAFFINE COMPLEX that increases circulation and cell respiration
I will do another review on this after a few weeks to see if I notice any change.

Schwartzkopf Got2b Glued Hairspray

Schwartzkopf Got2b Glued Hairspray

I love this hair spray it's the best hold of all hair sprays I have tried. I use this when I back comb my hair to give amazing staying power. I bought two as they were only £3 and we go through a lot of these in my house!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Coconut & Exotic Tropical and Cheeky Cherry

Batiste Dry Shampoo Coconut & Exotic Tropical and Cheeky Cherry

As well as having oily skin I also have oily hair so dry shampoo is a must for me. I use it the day after I wash my hair so I get longer out of my blow dry. I love how it gives hair an instant refresh and volume! Being blonde the colour of the powder doesn't matter to much to me as it really doesn't make a difference to my colour :) I love the smell of the tropical one it just reminds me of being on holiday and the cherry scent is nice and sweet.

Coconut Body Oil

Coconut Body Oil

I bought this on a whim as I suffer from dermatitis on my knuckles so thought I would try this, turns out other than the amazing coconut smell I hate this. I hate oil on my skin so thinking back I have no idea what I was thinking!

So that's all the products I bought they were all purchased in boots store and can all be found online at www.boots.com

This Is Me

Hello *waves*
This is my first go at writing a blog. I don't know if people will read it or want to read it but I have wanted to start a blog for quite a while and there's no time like the present. My blog will be about my life, including beauty, make-up and products, whether I am just liking them, loving them or hating them.

If you have read this far then thank you for taking an interest. To make it more personal here is a few facts about me :)
My name is Sophie, I'm 25 years old, married and I live in a little town by the coast in North Wales.

Wales Flag Dragon

Picture taken just before sun set on the beach :)

I am a make-up artist, beauty therapist and hairdresser. I am quite an indecisive person that's why I ended up doing all three :) my favourite of my jobs is make-up because I love doing bridal make-up (and it means I get to buy and test lots and lots of make up). It is so exciting being around the wedding party everyone is excited and happy it's just amazing and I am so grateful that I get to be a part of their special day.

I am obsessed with watching YouTube I love everything from the beauty gurus to the people that just vlog their day-to-day lives. I would like to do YouTube videos but I don't feel confident to get on that side of the camera yet. I also love reading peoples blogs about fashion, make up, products and DIY! when I find someone or I find a post that is interesting I tend to go back to the beginning and then read through all their posts!

So that's a bit about me if you have read this far please leave a comment as I would love feedback :)
Have a nice day
xXx
