Exante diet and discount

Hi my lovely’s I have something different for me to share today, I have joined Exante. Discount code at bottom of page.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I want to lose weight. It’s not a new thing, I have always wanted to lose weight, but right now I want to lose weight to feel more confident having pictures taken with my children. I have touched on this subject before on my Instagram. I am now working my butt off and Exante is giving me the opportunity to try so many amazing products and giving me the boost I need.

In my first week I have managed to lose 6lbs. I have loved trying all the products. I haven’t had the same thing twice yet.

My favourites have been the birthday cake bar, the lemon pancakes and the berries and cherries shake.

There are so many things I can’t wait to try and every meal time I get excited to look in my big box and choose what to eat!  I’m already thinking what shake to have for breakfast, I’m thinking chocolate orange or maybe strawberry and banana. Tomorrow I am definitely trying the chocolate orange shake and the mint chocolate cookie!

This is the Exante 4 week box                            My fav birthday cake bar

Alfie and discovering his multiple allergies including milk, eggs and soya

Hello my lovely’s

I thought I would start back with a post about Alfie’s allergies and the misery and heartache that comes with an undiagnosed allergy baby.

When I first had Alfie he was AMAZING that first two weeks was bliss. He took to breastfeeding amazingly (after having tongue tie cut), it was nothing like when I fed Emily. He slept so well. So much so that we had to go back up to the hospital as they were worried about how much he was sleeping (they then decided he was just a sleepy baby). After that honeymoon period he just cried 24/7. He wouldn’t be as bad when I was sat on the birth ball bouncing cuddling him upright to music. But any other time well, it was kind of hell. It took 12 weeks to start getting Alfie’s allergies under control this helped but not completely. Little did we know how many were going to pop up when we started weening! Everyday when I was putting Emily down for a nap at 11am I would put him in the Moses basket with white noise on the telly so I could make it really loud. I would then have the iPad on noise for Emily and I would cry to Emily I’m sorry, I was sorry that he came in and disturbed our time, I’m sorry I couldn’t play like we used to, I’m sorry this noisy little thing never stopped crying. I loved him but I also didn’t want to be around him. I really didn’t want to ‘put him on anyone’ either.

I had always gone to langue and play with Emily on a Thursday morning. Emily loved it and called it Hayley’s school (the leader of the groups name and it was in a school hall). After Alfie was born it was harder to take her but we always went Hayley and Emma would help me with Alfie so I could get time back with Emily. Other days my mum and dad would have him for the morning and I remember one morning when I knew my dad was coming to pick us up, I just broke down crying, Hayley knew straight away what it was and I think a lot of people saw it coming. My health visitor wasn't around as she was off sick so I literally had no medical person who would listen to me about how bad he was to be around. Their was a lady who we saw for his weight and eventually it wasn't going up as it should and we got referred to the hospital. But that wasn’t the end of it. We had an urgent referral that only took 3 days! The relief that we were going to see doctors who were going to help us was amazing.

Our appointment couldn’t of gone better. The doctor took down all of the symptoms Alfie was expecting, green explosive mucusy (sometimes bloody) poo, constant screaming, poor weight gain. He measured him and checked him over. Said plan of action would be a week lacto free milk. Then if that didn’t help we would try dairy free for a few weeks. We were going to do blood tests to see if there was anything else that could be causing him pain or problems.

We were told to give it 2 days and they would get back to us with the plan in place and where to go to pick up the prescription milk.

We left the appointment ecstatic so happy and excited of the proposed plan. On the third day I still hadn’t received a phone call so I called them.

‘Oh hi Mrs Jones, we have decided to leave Alfie for a little while to see how he goes. Call us back if he drops below the bottom centile and we will have another look’.

Shattered, all that positivity, the optimism that we were getting answers gone. I felt like a lorry had just hit me. There was no way I was laying back and doing nothing. I had already started to cut out dairy incase that was the issue ready for stage two of our plan. And I was going to stick to it. I wasn’t just going to stick to it for the few weeks that they had said I knew I needed to do something to help him, to make him stop crying and just be a happy baby.

I will do more posts about going dairy free and weaning an allergy baby but for now I’ll end with some photos of Alfie as a baby and one of him now ☺️

I actually posted this picture on Facebook with the caption through all his screaming and crying we do get some breaks and see his beautiful smile.

Guess who's back! Back again!

Hello! Hello! Hello!

Extremely long time no blog!

I will calm down know with the exclamation marks.

First things first

Hello my lovely's

So I said long time no blog and that's not quite true. I have been blogging on Instagram for about a year now. Not to toot my own horn but I am not doing to badly over there. I have a little over 12,000 followers and have actually had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands!  Including Holland and Barrett's, Cherryz, Starpowa, Blendjet, Exante and many more. If you want to check it out here is a link @mrsjones_plus_three

I had been thinking that coming back on here would be a good move both to expand and elaborate on my Instagram posts but also another way to share some of the amazing discount codes brands have given me. I will even put them on a page on the top bar so they are all easy to find with links to the websites.

As you can imagine after so many years off this blog my life has changed. I am still in the same house, still married to Charlie but now we have 3 little ones. Emily is now 6, Alfie has just turned 4 and Amy will be 2 in June. We don't have any pets any more and we actually don't want to get anymore. I have loved our rabbits over the years but going out and looking after them when the weathers bad with 3 children isn't really what I want to be doing and I wouldn't be able to devote the time a pet needs.

Plans for this I want to be able to go more in depth into some of the things I touch on, on Instagram, things like the children's allergies and our experience of doing things like the milk ladder and finding alternatives. If there is more of a story behind pictures I have taken and posted on Instagram so far I will put the pictures on here and can say what was happening.

I also feel this will be a great space for me to give a more detailed review of products I have been gifted and share on going experience with them. I really hope you will stick with me on my journey back on here.

This is a throw back picture from when I was 35 weeks PREGNANT with Amy. This is when I felt my best and you will find out more about that in a post coming soon!

Life Just Keeps Getting Busier!

Hello my lovely's, it would seam I ran away from my blog for nearly 2 months again! I am back tho and feeling more motivated. I have been really busy this last month as my husband has been off work for summer and we have been taking Emily out to do lots of fun stuff! I am thinking I will get a post up in the next few days of things to do in North Wales. I have had lots of people ask me over last few weeks what is there to do? as they are coming here for a holiday.
So what have we been doing?
So so much! Here are some of our favourite things we have done
Farm to feed the animals - £6 for the 3 of us and 50p for a cup of feed! This was such a cheap fun day out
Beach,
Parks,
Zoo,
Soft play,
Swimming - this is Emilys fav thing to do she loves to be in the water.
Also more grown up stuff is we have painted the front and side of the house and we have also done up the conservatory!

I have been busy with making a Belle Dress for a lady going to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party.
I have also made some bumbags/fannypacks for a family going to Disney next summer!

Parenting Post Babys Food Brands Reviews

Hello my lovely's life seams to be getting in the way of my blogging again! I am trying to not let it but there is so much going on at home, with diy, family visiting, play dates, its hard to find time to write a post.

Today's post is going to be a bit different it's a parenting post on weaning food. I thought I would share with you some of mine and Emily's opinions on some baby/children's food.

A little back ground on her food. We didn't do traditional weaning we did mainly finger foods, she has never had a puréed meal just fruit as I wouldn't want all my food mushed together so won't give her it. Thought of it makes my tummy churn. Apparently can't call it baby led weaning as I spoon fed her yoghurt and some puddings, so it is traditional with finger foods, even though I wouldn't call spaghetti bolognese finger food. We have given her food that has recommended age's older than her as we haven't had any foods off limits except honey and nuts, but obviously that is just how we feed please use your own judgement of whether you child can have these foods. I found the smaller size of some of these items fantastic for Emily's pincer skills and even my health visitor commented on how advanced she was and I put it down to her feeding. *please don't hold me responsible for your child's feeding as there are recommended ages on all the items listed.
