The Secret To Getting Rid Of Cellulite!

Hello my lovely's I'm going to let you in on a secret well it isn't much of a secret but a blooming good tip!

Body brushing

(Body brushing is some times called dry brushing)

It has sooo many benefits and is so easy to do there is really no excuse!
First of all, it feels really nice, kind of like your giving yourself a massage.
Secondly, it gets your blood circulating and helps remove toxins as it gets them to your lymph glands.
Thirdly, it’s a really good exfoliator you will be amazed as you can literally see all the dead skin cells fall off! ( I know this is horrible but bear with me) this means fake tan will go on evenly and when it's fading it will be a more even fade so no more patchy tans (Woohoo) It will even prolong a fake tan and real/natural tan as it will be going on fresh skin not old flaky skin cells!
Fourthly, you can loose 1-2lbs as it helps remove water weight!
And finally, lastly ;), if you do it every day, your skin will always be glowing AND it WILL improve the appearance of cellulite! Hooray!

I use the soap and glory body brush I can't find it online but they still sell them in my local boots stores:

Other ones I would recommend are:
Body shop round body brush £8 (the handle on this makes it super easy to use)
Sanctuary Dual Performance Body Brush £12

STEPS:

Grab hold of your brush
1, Start on your left ankle using long sweeping movements. Do the front, back and the sides, up to the knee, then from knee to thigh
2, Next swirl it in all directions first over lower leg then on your thigh
**Remember to apply pressure, but not too much! we don't want you scratching yourself**
You’ll soon start to see the skin flaking off. Don’t forget to concentrate on the back and sides of the thigh where cellulite tends to be more noticeable!
3, You should spend around 60seconds on first leg then repeat on the other.
4, It's time to be a bit rougher but not to much! Swirl around all over your hips and bum. Aim for 30-45 seconds
5, Keep working your way up using clock wise circles around your stomach up to chest and back (basically your entire body)
6, Now for the arms; use long sweeping movements from wrist to shoulder then swirl it all over the upper arms. Really focus on those dry elbows and the backs of your arms. 45 seconds per arm is plenty of time
**be careful to avoid areas with eczema, if it's not inflamed you can go over it very gently**
7, It's time to jump in the shower or bath or jump to number 8 if in a hurry
8, Finish by applying your favourite body butter all over.

The more often you do this, the quicker you can do it as you have the technique down.
It’s great to get in the habit of doing this before you shower. When you get out you can use any moisturiser you like but if you really want to go the extra mile use a firming one and really massage it in! I like to use Soap & Glory™ The Firminator™ Special Bikini Body Firming Formula on my thighs, hips, bum and arms and Garnier - Ultra-Softening Lotion Nourishing Shea Butter on the rest of me. I'm not going to lie and say I do this every day but I try to do it at least every other day before I shower. I find the more I do it, the less noticeable my cellulite dimples are.

Why not try doing it once daily for a month and come back and let me know in the comments how you found it and if it has helped. What's your best tip for cellulite?

Comfort Zone Moisturiser Is A Must Buy!

Hello my lovely's,
I'm afraid its a sad day I have finished my favourite ever moisturiser! It's 'Comfort Zone Hydra Memory Extra Cream 24hr'. I only use it in the evenings and now I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. I need more of this in my life!

Comfort zones hydra memory range is for dehydrated skin.
Alot of people think if they are oily they can't be dehydrated or if they are dry they are dehydrated.
But dehydrated skin is a lack of moisture(water) where as dry is often a lack of oil, it can be a lack of water too but not all dry skin types are dehydrated.
You can tell if your skin is dehydrated - if you squeeze your skin and you have fine lines it can be dehydration lines.

People with oily skin are often worried about using moisturiser, let alone an extra moisturising moisturiser, but this is amazing! I only use it at night and a little goes along long way! It works kind of like a face mask! It really hydrates and plumps up the skin.
A lot of people who think they have the start of wrinkles or fine lines will find that the lines go when they use this cream as the lines were from dehydration, not age or damage :)

So here it is:

all gone :(
I have the old packaging as I have had mine since 2010. (Yes I haven't used it consistently but it really does last a long time as you need such a small amount) I got it from a salon I was working in and at the time it was £45. I didn't have to pay for mine as it was an incentive to keep reaching my comfort zone selling goals in salon but I will definitely be buying it my self this time round.
I love the old packaging but not much of a fan of the new look.
I think the new style is around £40 depending where you buy it.

Comfort Zone Hydra Memory Extra Cream 24hr
new packaging

On first inspection the packaging looks clean, simple and very chic. Once open the smell of the cream is amazing! It's a clean fragrance but is very reminiscent of a beauty salon/spa. It feels really rich and thick on the skin but once smoothed in it melts like butter and absorbs so quickly leaving skin feeling baby soft and instantly plumped!

You can use it as a day and night cream if needed. It's going to moisturise and nourish the skin. It is designed for older more mature skin but at 25 with oily skin and no wrinkles in sight, I'd recommend it too everyone! I love it!

The ingredients in this are incredible!!! Trehalose is a hydro-active sugar. It is taken from desert plants that are able to create a protective barrier around cells limiting their loss of water(this is why it's a 24 hour moisture). Now this is another super special ingredients  Baobab extract it is obtained from the leaves of the African plant known as the "Plant of Life" it can live up to 5,000 years!!! How amazing is that?!

If you ever get the chance to have a facial with comfort zone products go for it as the range is one of the best I've used! Everything smells beautiful and does exactly what it says it will! I really miss using these products on clients.

Have you ever tried anything from comfort zone?

Little Princess Trust

Hello my lovely's, hope everyone's keeping well.

In 2012 I decided I wanted to do something for charity, after having to do some research on wigs for my hairdressing course I found out about little princess trust

The little princess trust - so who are they?

They provide real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment. The wigs they provide are free to children. However, the cost of one wig to the charity is on average £350. I thought about what I could do so decided to cut my hair and raise money in the process! You can find out more about the charity here.

the little princess trustI can't believe it was a year ago today I received a certificate from Little Princess Trust. I had raised £1040 when they sent the certificate but I ended up raising another £480 :) I also wanted to donate my hair so on the 1st December 2012 I cut over a foot of my hair (nearly 13 inches off) and sent that too!

It was such an amazing feeling to know my hair was going to make a little girl a wig and make her happy :) Also with the amount of money I raised it will cover the cost of 4 and a bit wigs! That means I have helped 6 children get wigs :)

I love doing things for others so I am trying to think of something to do this year for charity. At the moment I am thinking I will raise money for another children's charity, but not sure which charity or what to do! Any ideas welcome :)

Super Easy Rice Krispy Treats

I have a super quick, super easy and super yummy recipe!
(Yes I am 25 and yes I do still use the word yummy on a daily basis)

Rice Krispy treats!
All you need is

Rice Krispies Treat ingredients

A mug or bowl
Tablespoon
Microwave

Optional
Plate
Baking paper Cling film

1cup of Rice Krispies
5 marsh mallows
1 tablespoon of butter
Optional
1/4 tablespoon of Golden syrup
Chocolate chips, sprinkles, dried fruit or your fav topping

Put the butter, marshmallows and if using golden syrup in the mug.

Butter in mug
Marshmallows
Golden syrup

Microwave for 10 seconds check to see if the butter is soft or melted and the marshmallows are puffed up and starting to melt, if they aren't quite done give them an extra 5 seconds until right. In my microwave it usually takes 15 seconds.

Microwave

Stir the mixture

Add 1/4 cup of rice Krispies at a time stirring well making sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the mug.

Rice Krispies

If you want to eat it warm add any extras now and enjoy!

If you want cool Krispy treats you can just wait for it to cool in the mug.
I always put baking paper (cling film if I haven't got it) over a plate as this helps to stop it sticking

Put on any extra toppings wrap up (I like to squish it down to thin it out)

Put in the fridge for 5 minuets.

Yummy Rice Krispy Treats

Cut it up and enjoy!
