Hello my lovely's,
Omg I feel so old! My little tiny baby is now 1! (has been for 2 weeks now) This last year has been a roller coaster, from the emergency section, breast feeding, formula feeding when it all went wrong, then the hard work to get back to breast feeding, colic, learning to roll, sit, crawl, stand and now walk! It's been incredibly hard at times but at others it's been extraordinarily fantastic.
People say having a baby changes your life and everyone know yes it does but they don't tell you is how bad you want to change your life so they can have the best life possible.
The best bits of the last year
Emily's being born (not her birth that wasn't great but having her here safe is)
Breast feeding and reestablishing breastfeeding
Christening
First Christmas
Emily learning to say mamma amongst other words
Seeing her face when she does something and get so excited
Her standing in her cot shouting hiya to us to wake us up was just the cutest
Getting to see her grow and change

Colic omg the crying is intense
Reflux (yes baby's are sick but a reflux baby is exorcist style sick and all over our new house)
Emily falling off the bed (when you tell people this people without baby's are like omg that's so bad, parents say oh yer remember the first time xyz did it or fell out the pram off the couch, turns out all baby's do fall)
The pain for feeding a baby with a tongue tie
Formula - when she first had it I cried for 3 days, and making formula
Tongue tie and getting it cut
Nappy changes! Not just pooey nappies but omg when they can move its a nightmare
The sleepless nights
Even with all the bad bits I am glad we went through them as it will make us stronger parents and some of its just part of life. I'm just so glad after so many years of longing for our baby we have finally got the perfect little lady
